Nowadays, to protect the information and later recovery is an investment that all company should do if they don't want to have a major impact on the loss of their data with direct economic consequences for their company.
BBVA Bank and AFP Provida, were in need with of a platform securely to shelter all the information because they would suffer some changes like reorganizations, growth and optimizations of data. To this, was implemented in both companies, a backup solution and data recovery, that includes Hitachi storage technology and high availability software.
The solution implemented consisted in incorporate two storage units for each company, high capacity of data storage, allowing protect all the information, with high performance and with the posibility to greater scalability.
The storage units were placed in different sitesa distance, leaving connected a storage unit like primary production servers and the other storage unit as a contingency storage which is charge of the replication data from primary storage allowing in case of incident, protect all data.
ACT commissioned the design, installation, configuration, backups, creating nodes and starting up a new solution that allow to BBVA Bank and AFP Provida backing up and recovering their data in case of any unforessen. This solution wouldn't have been possible without the experience and professionalism of the engineers of ACT in charge of the solution.
